The second thing I "had" to do was a warm scarf. Bought the wool fairly cheap in a chilly Switzerland, then went to warmer southern France where I sat outside in the sun knitting it. Some times I felt like a bikini would be more useful...I started of with 10plain rows, then plain&pearls (not sure how many) and then starting over again. Thread the pearls on the wool and attached when ut suited me. In the end I sewed the two ends together to make it into a circel.
